Default Car is in the shop

Hi everyone!! well last Thursday I took my car to nissan for some issues, one being my driver side windows not going down (needs a new motor they say) Grease Streaks and the inside of my headlight was cracking, they are going to fix all of these for free. Now I complained that 3rd gear would always grind when shifting from 2nd to 3rd at2,000-2,500 rpms yeah I know i shouldnt shift that low into 3rd anyhow but i do sometimes. Well the tech said i need a new tranny (i have an 2003 btw) so they are going to give me a new clutch and tranny covered under warrenty, I had to buy a pressure plate but labor is free. So I know that the 2003's had issues but im assuming ill be getting a 05/06 tranny have they gotten better over the earlier years? btw im the second owner i got it used from nissan with 10k miles on it a year ago.

edit: I also had the rear axle clicking noise, they fixed that too!!

Thanks,

Matthew

what's wrong with shifting at 2,000-2,500rpm? Does it hurt the transmission?
And do you have pictures of the problem with your headlights?

well i guess there isnt anything wrong with shifting that low into 3rd, but my driving habbits have me usually shifting higher. I do not have pictures of the headlight but what it looks like is: a film that has small tears in it almost what a plastic piece would look like if it had stress marks from being bent back in fourth to give it stress marks. I hear the inside of the headlights have 3m clear tape in them and some people get this issue.
