Default should i be worried?

my brother-in-law borrowed my z to drive around his neighborhood when i
visited him this last tuesday. (i was shotgun).
basically, he tried to see how fast it can go and hit every tach light on the way to 3rd (3 times going around the block).

my tach light is set at 6k, and i'm pretty sure he shifted everytime the light came on (i'm watching it also).

i get home and i hear this vibration somewhere behind the front wheel.
reading the boards i'm thinking, the throw bearing went out (my best guess).

the sound was only present that night. i haven't heard it since (2 nights ago).

should i be worried?

i've never driven the car harder than the way he did so i'm all pissed and don't want to even see his face again.

am i over reacting? i swear, my wife is getting the ugly end of it and i'm not even paying attention to her and i'm just going out of my mind thinking if i need a part replaced already at 3k miles.

i really don't know who else to share this issue but my fellow z brothers.

steve

If you threw a bearing, wouldn't it continue to make that sound?

Rev the engine and if it does it again take it to the dealer. Better safe than sorry.

Rev limiter. I doubt he hurt it.

I have bounced the tach off the rev limiter tons of times (accidentally) and mine is still going strong with 40k miles on it.

No. And, that's how she's meant to be driven.

dont be mad at your brother-in-law..if you didnt want him to drive the way he did you could have said something plus i dont think he drove it hard enough to hurt anything

your light set at 6k. So when the light is blinking when he shifts, that's mean he didn't even go past 6k yet. Because the light blinks a bit earlier than 6k. I think it's just your mind that's messing with you. Also, that's how you should drive the Z . Don't worry....he didn't break anything.
