Gotdamn is anyone reading that write-up that took me 2days to put together? I practically spoon fed the instructions. Kinda feel like I should just erase the damn thing and let everyone figure it out on their own...

Don't let it get to you. Most people probably do a search, find this thread, then post without reading it. We can always just link them to your thread, its alot easier then combing through this one for the info.

I found a local electric motor shop that was able to replace the brushes for me. It cost about 60 bucks for the carbon and the labor. The place primarily works on alternators and large DC motors. It was located in Chemlsford Ma.

Dont erase it. If I ever have to fix one again I will be right back at your great post.
BTW - I worked on mine a while back (4 months maybe) and it is still working great. wish i would have had your instructions 18 months ago.

It wasn't on the viewable pages in this section, so I had to search and bump it so others could see. I needed this thread so I could figure out the part #'s for the motors. I was able to identify the part#'s and url links for both passenger & driver's side motors, from Autozone and Advanced auto parts. I posted the info on the 1st page of my How-To thread up top....

yes it's not a window motor problem, they noticed the problem when they open and close the door and it sounds like the window rattles, and they said there is no warranty for the window noise and that i only have warranty for the powertrain so they charged me for test driving it and take and i guess their time, i think i will go see another dealer the one near me sux.

definately take care of this before your warranty expires or it will cost you some $$...approx $700 to have it done at the dealer with no warranty. even if you choose not to take it to the dealer you will have to find a shop or someone to repair or replace the motor and that will cost $$ as well...approx $300.

Besides, the Nissan warranty is only a year and it's more than double the price (FTL.)

What I meant was, when mine broke and I priced getting a NEW replacement motor from the dealership, they wanted $330 and it came with a 1 year warranty. (I'm not talking about the original manufacturer's car warranty. Mine had expired.)
I just mean the "New" replacement motor from Nissan is only warranted for a year and the refurb from the Zone is forever.
