Default Squeaking noise when gasing

Last night my Z developed a new squeak noise, and I made a post about it,
thinking that the squeak is coming from the clutch pedal when letting out after upshifts.

I was wrong.

I drove the car today and the squeak noise
is NOT coming from clutch pedal. In fact the clutch
is completely normal.

However, I noticed that the squeak noise comes
when I push the ACCELERATOR.
So everytime I shift and put my foot back on the gas,
it sounds like a cricket is inside my car lol.
It also makes that noise every time I tap the gas.
It seems to be coming out from the front/engine bay area.

Your inputs/help appreciated.

gsazabi,

whoa, I am hearing the same thing. Does anyone else know more about this? It really sounds like a wastegate noise (but much fainter.) Happens to me a WOT.

Haha it does sound like wastegate noise - but tiny, puny one lol
Weird it happens to you at WOT. Mine does it everytime I step on the gas to give it some throttle.
Well I've talked to Jason and here's what he said:

"It sounds like your throttle body opening up and air rushing through your intake filter...

its like a high pitched PSSCHP that happens really quick... Its the initial rush of air through your intake.. It does with with the factory intake as well as aftermarket... you hear it mroe with aftermarket intakes..."

So I guess it seems normal...weird that it never happened before until last night...

Its the parking brake bracket underneath the car...its a common issue on the Murano's and Titan's too. Takes about 45min to fix...known issue no big deal! Also, the techs are instructed to check the rear axles as well while performing this diagnostics!

Sounds like you have some type of aftermarket intake. Mine makes a "squeaking" noise when I hit the gas and can be heard even better at around 4000 rpm.

Yeah, posted on this thread earlier, but after installing the JWT Pop Charger, I realized that the noise was just the intake air flow.

Hmm, I think I have this noise also but mine seems to be more of a metal tinking noise almost more than a squek, but it happens when I get on the gas. Is this the same noise or something else?

I installed the popcharger this past weekend and immediately heard the same kind of noise. But it's so faint that I only hear it with the windows down.

I have the stock intake and I just started noticing this as well... I can even park the car, put it in neutral and rev up and i can hear it squeak around 4000 rpm too.

I am betting it is a whistle, I hear it as well when I blip the throttle. I didn't notice it till after I put a plenum spacer in so I thought I had a leak, but after listening to it closely (and checking the torque on the screws), it was from the airbox.

It's more like a chirp. I know what you are talking about when you blip the gas, I have that too, but that's not it. Its more of a chirp from 3,000 - 4,000 rpm as you gradually increase the gas. If you gun it, you don't hear it at all, but its when you gradually approach the 3-4k range is when it chirps. I don't think it's the throwout bearing as you can replicate this sound by reving in neutral with the clutch disengaged as well as engaged. I almost want to say its the belts.
