Need help...
My transmission, ever since the first day i recieved the car (brand new Nov. 2004) has felt a bit rough!...i now have 7,500 miles on her. Now, i have taken the car in twice about the transmission being rough and not going into third gear and fifth gear properly, and grinding in certain gears...all that i have gotten is "we cannot reproduce the problem" and "this is normal." The only thing is, the grinding from 1st to 2nd happens when i drive it hard, so i have been keeping a close eye on that. OK...i have paperwork stating that i came into the dealership for these issues, and that the problem cannot be reproduced. My question is, lets say i reach 20,000 miles and the transmission goes out, will they give me a hard time about swapping it?...even if i have the paperwork stating that i had issues from before that they were not able to "reproduce?" Also, can my clutch be affected by the grinding, and if so, do they replace the clutch along with the transmission, or do they use the same clutch i came in with? Thankz!
