Noise at idle with with clutch out
Hi,
Everytime I go out and do a bit of spirited driving, when I get back the car will make a funny noise at idle with the clutch out. It's just sort a mild rattle, which immediately goes away when I put the clutch in. And, it is annoying...
My question is: is this normal for a stock clutch? If not, what could the problem be?
I've been reading that people with aftermarket clutches (i.e. tilton) get a cement-mixer sounding rattle with the clutch out in idle, just like I'm having. Is there an easy way to find out if I in fact have an aftermaket clutch?
I have an '03 touring MT which I bought used with ~12k miles.
Thanks!
