oil filter change?
I have friends that do this, but I personally do not bother. I prefer keeping the filter opening pointed downward until I am ready to screw it on to avoid any possibility of debris dropping into it.
Using synthetic oil, I am not too concerned about the 10 seconds my oil pressure will be reduced.

My VWs allow me to put oil in the filter as is doesn't spill out when I thread it back onto the car, the filter installs vertically upward. On the Z the filter installs sideways and the oil would spill back out so I don't bother.
Its so small that is fills up pretty much instantly anyway. Diesel trucks are the only vehicles I've ever filled the filter up first. Some of those filters hold almost 2 quarts. Tell me they dont make a mess coming off.
