Seems like this part was also the problem area for some 350Z's pulling to the right. I believe there was a TSB on this issue as well, concerning replacing the compression rod with a updated rod design to fix the problem.

Well, my Z drives just fine. But when I back up and crack the wheel all the way to the left a hear a littlte thump noise...

my nissan repair did that and its still there...Im going to bring the car back for the 4th time and tell them to replace the whole left arm assembly.

Did they check the parts I told you about?
Coz my car stopped pulling to the right and still had the clunk!!

those bastards wrote down the part #;s but i think their trying to save money. They jus lubed something. WTF?? Im going back there on monday or something! This is getting irritating!!

I have what sounds like a very similar clunk noise coming from my front right side in my '08 350 when I go over speed bumps. I have been to the dealer 3 times now, and no luck with fixing it. I was just wondering if you ever got yours fixed, and if so, what the problem was?

I went through this for almost 3 years until they replaced the (forgive my mechanical ignorance) strut? There was something at the top that had come disconnected and would smack metal when the shock was compressed. After that, it was gone. Then I traded the damn thing. Beautiful car but way too many issues.
