My Z sucks! I live in the LA area and need to know if anyone knows of a very good mechanic where I can take my car for a tune up. I have taken the car to the dealer and it still runs slow times as well as being beat by cars that I thought I could beat. I have a pop charger and test pipes. I would take to another dealer to tune up but I don't want to void the warranty yet. I know there isn't much to do but I would like to take the car to a mechanic that might find something that will make the car close to what Nissan claims.

 

Care to explain further? Cavaliers beating you?

 

My Z also feels slower than usual, I seen a celica a integra pass me with ease. By the way is yours 5AT or 6MT? And when you floor it, does it feel like something is pushing you back? Thanks and Good luck

Oh yeah, I'll remember to put the car in drive next time. It's rather easy to push the gas pedal on an auto. BMW 3 series are right on me as well as Acura RSX 4bangers. The car isn't real slow but with the pop charger and the pipes I thought I would be able to beat those cars. Oh well, my car sucks.

 

The smog in Los Angeles has been know to have a detrimental effect on performance. It seems that Los Angeles air is approximately 15 percent oxygen where it should be about 20 percent. Look it up.
