Default Any way to clear a CES Light?

Any secret to clearing an CES Light without a Tech II?
I have a check enhgine light because I redid my CAI (forgot the heat shield the first time becuase I didn't read the instructions like an idiot) so the 2nd time I forgot to disconnect the battery before remove the IAT on the MAF.

So now I have this light and I don't want to go to the dealer to clear it.

Is there a way? Any fuse to pull or any other secret?

Thanks! The car runs strong the light is just annoying.

Try this:

1) Turn ignition on, wait 3 seconds
2) Push fully and release the gas pedal 5 times within 5 seconds
3) Wait 7 secs, fully push gas pedal and hold for 10 seconds until the CES light starts to blink
4) Release gas pedal (you are in diagnostic test mode 2)
5) Press and hold gas pedal for more than 10 seconds. Release pedal.
6) Sacrifice a goat, and pour its blood all over your naked body while trying to ask the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi to peacefully cut off the light without violence (perform this last step with the garage door close, as to avoid arrest)

You should be cleared.

Note that I haven't done this myself, but got it from the manual. Let me know if it works.

I think it also says if you disconnect the battery for more than 24 hours, it will clear, too

You shouldn't have to disconnect anything. The 24 hour battery disconnect option is just another way to do what the steps I posted would also accomplish. I just posted that so that people wouldn't think that you could just disconnect the battery for 5 minutes like you can with some cars.

Just get in the car, and do the steps (the goat thing is probably optional).

Should take 2 minutes, tops.

Let me know if it works.

Default TN in Da House!

It worked, no more light.

The timing is precise, it wasn't working and I was getting frustrated so I went and got my stop wach and did every timing precisely to the second and it started blinking the error code, then I cleared it.

I couldn't find any goat blood (this is California ya know?)

So I used cat **** and green tea leaves, but it worked.

I need to go shower now. No more LIGHT!

I think this means the Raiders will win!

Thanks oh mannish one!

This is true, because I had tried 30 minutes last night before posting this and it didn't clear.

Glad it worked. The manual actually states you might want to time it with a watch. I should have posted that.

Thumbs up I have the Service Manual CD

I should have thought to check that. It's all good, I hate lights on that are supposed to be off. So I am happy.
