Default oil pressure gauge problem!

the other day i was coming home from school. i noticed that my oil pressure gauge was kind of high. so i pushed the clutch in to see if it would go down to where is it suppose to be. when my car was idling the gauge stayed at about 100 psi. it normally idles at around 30-45 psi. when i was at around 2000 rpm the gauge was well over 120 psi. today when i got in my car the gauge seemed to be right. at around 2000 rpm, the gauge was around 60 psi, which is about right. i got in my car later today and it was was too high again. it works, it is just way too high. anyone know what this is from?

I'd get that checked. Could be a big problem or a sensor issue.

RobertH - your oil pressure will be high when the engine has just been started and the engine is cold. Once the engine heats up, the oil pressure should drop back down to the normal operating range (ie after about 10-15min driving). If the oil pressure is still high after the engine is warm, then you should get the car looked at.
