Question Brake bleed order?

I was looking at the service manual today, getting ready to bleed the brakes. It gives incomplete information!

Bleeding Brake System

CAUTION:
While bleeding, pay attention to master cylinder fluid level.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect a vinyl tube to the rear left air bleeder.
3. Fully depress brake pedal 4 to 5 times.
4. With the brake pedal depressed, loosen the air bleeder to let the air out, and then tighten it immediately.
5. Repeat steps 3, 4 until no more air comes out.
6. Tighten the air bleeder to the specified torque.
7. In steps 2 to 6 below, with the master cylinder reservoir tank filled at least half way, bleed air from the front right, rear right, and front left tires, in that order.
Look at step 7! Where does rear left come in? Damn!

Thanks. I knew I had seen it somewhere, but I couldn't remember who posted it & I didn't find it on a search.

See you at VIR! (Right?)

In addition to the link I will add:

Manuals are not always as clear as they should be.
If you followed every step in that instruction you would have bled 4 calipers in the correct order. It was just written by someone who assumes everyone is thinking exactly the same thing they are.

Heres a thought, What if the instructions confused the line people so much that all of us got Z's without the left rear bled!!??!!

Just a thought.

GL

Also, you can tell how the dual brake safety system is set up by the bleed order.

Damn, you're right. I'm the stupid one, not the person who wrote the manual. I didn't read step 2 carefully.

Not stupid---

In hundreds of manuals spanning many years and makes. I have seen few worded that poorly.

Hope you problem is fixededed.

In all the cars I've always bled, you always start with the caliper farthest away from the M/C, and then you work your way closer....
