Default Defective foot rest

When I first got my car I noticed that my foot rest was a little lose. Well, I took it to the dealer recently and it just came off on his hand. When they tried to reinstall it, they couldn't so declared it defective.

Now I am waiting for a new foot rest.

Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks!

The foot rest installs on two pegs. Inside the foot rest (after removing the 5 screws and top plate) you will find two dials. They lock and unlock the footrest in place with a half turn.
As a practical matter, your foot only puts downward pressure on the foot rest, so it stays firmly in place anyway.

NOTE: The foot rest must be removed if you wish to access the fuse box to the left.

Is there another fuse box somewhere that I don't know about? I got to mine easily (when I hard wired my V-1) and never had to do anything with the footrest.

Yes, directly to the left of the foot rest.

Seriously, is there another one in front of the one with the fuses for the cig. lighter etc. ? I got to it just fine without removing the footrest.

That's it. And there is one next to the battery as well.

Only two fuse boxes, by the battery and the left side of the driver's footwell. The second one can be accessed without removing the footrest, but I'm not sure if you can get to every fuse that way.

My footrest got loose too. The dealer fixed it with no questions. Another thing there were 2 screws missing in the front wheel well just above the mud guard! Whats up with that?

On the topic of missing screws

The molding underneath my driver side door (that runs along the bottom of the car, painted molding etc)

Well, it has NO bolts holding it on. There are 4 or 5 bolt holes underneath the car that there should be bolts in (I verified by checking the passenger side)

Its loose, i can wiggle it and stuff. Soon as the snow melts i'm taking it in to have them remount it and stuff (there is one small part where you can tell its not lined up properly with a body panel, its barely noticible though)
