Silicone Brake Fluid
Has anyone done this yet?
I haven't had any problems with the OEM fliud in my non-Brembo Performance model. But, if I recall correctly, the silicone type resists boiling even better, although they can't be mixed together.
Something I'm going to consider in concert with changing the trans. and diff. to RedLine synthetic gear oils.

Don't run DOT 5 which is silicone. Do run DOT 4 racing or DOT 5.1. ATE Blue or Motul 600 or Motul 5.1 These are synthetic and have very high wet and dry boiling temps. I put in Motul 600. Its around 585 dry and 450 wet. If you are going to do this, get some SS lines and more aggressive pads.
Thanks for the info. My Z has 3200 miles at this point, should I consider having rotors re-surfaced or just putting in new pads?
What's your opinion?
How do you find your Valentine 1. I love mine, and threw away my Passport after the PA State Police caught me for the second time in the same spot on US1
This thing blows the Passport away in picking up the cops. It's amazing!

No need to do rotors, just pads, fluid, and lines if you wish. I felt a very noticable difference when I did. I was supposed to be at VIR this weekend seeing how all this effected the fade, but we got iced out and had to cancel. For everyday aggressive driving, it still has made a difference.
