Ses light keeps coming on, sigh, help
Ses light comes on after a long highway cruise. I can city drive for hours and not get the light but if I take a 20 minute highway cruise it pops on. I reset it using the technosquare method. I can constantly recreate this process by just taking it a for a highway cruise but it never comes on at low speeds in the city. This first started happening after I had my 5/16th MD spacer installed. I listened for leaks but it sounds perfectly normal. I have hfc's, popcharger and borla td exhausts. I was hoping someone has had a similar experience and could enlighten me as to what might be causing this problem. Thanks in advance!
Have you tried re-checking the MD spacer? Maybe double check the torque on the bolts.
When I put mine on, everything sounded great. My SES light went off but then would come back on after a spirited test drive. It turned out that the rubber piece around the oil fill got caught in between the upper and lower plenum. I loosened the bolts, pulled the rubber thing out and re-torqued the bolts. Never had that problem again.

The only real way for anyone to help is to get the code checked...
It could be the thermostat code, if you are going down the freeway your engine will run cooler and if the thermostat cannot close, then it will drop below normal operating temp and throw a code.
If you are driving in city, you will run warmer and it wont know that the thermostat is stuck open.
Just an idea, but get that code checked asap...
