Question Possessed buzzer

I had something strange (first strange thing on the Z so far) happen just moments ago as I pulled into work.

I backed into a parking spot, and started to remove my key from the ignition. When it reached the off position it made the normal buzz sound.

As soon as I removed the key completely from the ignition the buzz turned into a horrible screeching sound. This freaked me out. My headlights were not on, but I went ahead and turned my parking lights on then back off, then the sound went away.

Anybody else had anything like this happen?

Yes it happened one time when I stopped for gas. I just shut the door and pumped my gas and when I got back in my car I heard it again. It went off when I started the car and has never returned.

Faulty relay or buzzer perhaps.

it happened to me today twice! This is why I love this board - I knew someone else would have posted about this buzzing sound. I wish we could figure out what it was.

something similar happened to me once, I was going slow and stopping for a light and I heard it. Never heard it before or since (I was going very slow). I have NO idea what it was, just a screeching sound?

I think that happened to me also. I parked and then took the key out of the ignition and heard an electronic-ish screeching noise. I thought it was coming from my Valentine One so I unplugged it, but still the sound persisted. Went inside, came back 15 minutes later and it was gone. Weird, wacky, wild stuff.

Default possesed buzzer (ignition?)

Indiactor light clicking sound went muted?...no sound..

Turned the the engine off, then back on again......worrying buzzing/grinding souns from ignition area occurs?...immediately turn engine off again, then back on, buzzing gone, indicator lights sound back to normal clicking?....WIERD!.

anyone else had this problem as a reoccuring nightmare, that leads to mayjor electrical problems..?
