2004 Nissan 350z "Slip" Light Illumination
I very recently purchased a Nissan 350z roadster (Enthusiast) w/30k miles on the odometer. The other day I was driving around 80 on the highway and after abour 30 miles I noticed a shimmy or vibration with a slight deceleration in the vehicle. The "Slip" light also illuminated on the dashboard.
Has anyone had this happen? What does it mean? How do I remedy?

Slip light indicator
I purchased a used 2006 Nissan 350Z convertible enthusiast. The slip indicator/light would come on without reason. No slipping would occur. The slip indicator would especially come on when talking turns that lead to or exit highways. And when that happens it would cut engine power (limp the car). I doubted many things but luckily I did find the problem at the end. It was that the previous owner had performed a tire rotation, probably not at a Nissan dealer, and they put the rear tires in the front and vice versa. This should not be done to this car as tires sizes are different between front and rear. So I put back the tires in the right places and no more Slip light
Apparently I learned other reasons for this problem could be Having to top brake fluid, Wheel alignment, Tire size, Speed sensor, Steering angle sensor, Tps or MAF sensors (less likely), Battery change (less likely). Note that I am not an expert, this is the info I got through reading a lot of forums.

Congrats on the new car and having figured out this somewhat common mistake on your own.
Questions about it arose so often it was added to our Top 100 Questions thread...

The sad thing is that the previous owner either did this by himself or brought it to a tire shop who should have recognized that the tires were not the same size front/rear.

I also had a slip light on the car with some slight vibration. In my case i also experienced a feeling in the front right that felt as if my brakes locked. When i got home i jacked up my car took the front right wheel off and saw the little rounded ball in the "stabilizer connecting rod" came loose. # 14 in this pic . I took the whole part off put the ball back into its place and wallah my slip light was gone. Then again it could bee some of the things mentioned up top that cause the slip light to come on.
