Default New Car Mileage Question

My car will be coming in two weeks from today. If it arrives early, I will be out of town. My question is, what is the mileage on a new Z, roughly. What should I expect to see on the odometer. My worry is that if I am out of town when it arrives, it might be test driven by other customers.

Thanks.

Default New Car Mileage

Wife just picked up hers last week. It had about 16 miles on it but it was detailed, windows tinted, aligned and test driven on my request.

Default BTW

Don't be afraid to call and make sure your car isn't driven any more than you want. It is your car and the dealer is working for you.

Thanks, I have already let them know I don't want it driven. This helps me to know if they didn't follow my request and if I need to find somewhere else to buy my car. They have really been helpful so far, so hopefully that will continue.

I seriously doubt that. The cars get 5mi on the ODO being taken out of the plan, put on the boat, taken off the boat, moved around the distrobution center, put on a truck, taken off a truck, moved around the dealership.

I personally had 10 miles on mine when I picked it up.

I'd say no more than 15 (mine had 10). Personally, I'd worry about prior test drives for cars with 15+ miles on the odometer.

Mine had 7 miles. I would expect under or around 15 for sure. I think approx 10 is very realistic.

I bought my car with 101 miles on it. They had taken it as a dealer trade from a dealer like 90 miles away. I didn't really care because they gave me 2k off of MSRP for it. If anything goes wrong with it, that's what the warranty is for. Plus, I have the car serviced at the same dealer, who has an "owner's first" award. They've treated me very well and, believe me, the first thing I'll say if anything goes wrong is that I did buy the car with 101 miles on it from them. I'm not anticipating any problems with warranty service, nor am I anticipating any troubles related to the initial mileage on the car.

As it is, I may be one of the unlucky folks with a bad tranny synchro, but we'll see. I still haven't broken her in yet!

I had 11, Id say under 15. under 5 would be unreasonable... a test drive would be a few miles, so its unlikely... easy solution, tell them ALL packaging is to remain on the car, including plastic and door gaurds. they probably couldnt wouldnt drive the car with all the packaging on it, then they can remove it once you arive to check it out thouroughly, not a bad idea anyway, so if you do choose for them to remove it all and wash it, and they return with a scratch or mark on it, you can blame them.
