My Valentine 1 lights up every time I step on the gas. The revs going up seem to set it off every time like an electrical surge is occuring. Is this something that a grounding kit would fix? Not exactly sure what that is or where to get it so, if this is the fix, please advise of location. Any insight appreciated. The V1 does not do this on other vehicles.

 

that used to happen on an oldermodel of mine in my subaru...
i sent it in.. they said some stuff was out of spec... new one did not do it anymore... cost: $35 and i got a whole new outside and all updated internals.

 

o you have it hardwired or are you just using the plug and cig. lighter?

 

My hardwired V1 (version 1.7) does not do this. However, my wireless backup camera sets it off when I am backing up (no big deal to me). There is no interference when accelerating though...

My plug-in V1 never has had any problem like this.

It's over a year old now and the only time it does anything weird is when I get behind a GM Envoy or Cadillac. Their brake lights set off the Laser detection if I pull to within 10 feet or so at a stoplight.
