Default popping in clutch

heya...i have a popping noise coming from my clutch that has gradually gotten worse over the last month or so. its sounds like it coming more from the actual pedal than internally. usually pops @ between the release and engage. im having it looked @ tomorrow but any ideas on what it might be?! thanks for the help!

When I first bought my '06 I had a similar problem...when I'd push in the clutch it would make a "pop" noise, but it seemed to be the pedal itself and nothing mechanical. It finally just went away on it's own, but I can't really remember when. (18,000 miles already )

Lol... I thought I was the only one who almost misread that title. Mine squeeks and the pedal effort is a little harder 1" off the floor.

well..left the car @ the dealer today. the linkage was binding and they needed to re-lube/re-grease and do something else (cant remember). but its working now like the day i drove it off the lot. also had my tire pressure monitor reset as i was having problems with that as well. all is good now...
