Default Just did the 30000 mile service myself

Yup so that was my weekend. I still need to do the Coolant flush next week, but all in all, a messy/smelly job for the tranny/differential job. Worth saving the extra 300 doing it myself though. I used redline mtl/mt90 for the tranny, and amsoil gear oil. So far, no leaks, but I torque them to the specs indicated by the factory service manual. Note to all who do this, by a 10mm hex socket, print out the 350z tech dot com guide. Super easy imo, just takes time. My God, the differential was Black with shavings in there.

^^It's good to see individuals taking the initiative to perform their own maintenance. Good job!

Whats included in the 30,000 mile service?

Engine oil/filter, coolant, trans/differential oil, and what else?

Your local munincipal center. Mine takes oil, coolant, batteries, random chemicals. It just has to be in a plastic container.

Honestly I just read it that many on here do the diff and tranny at 30000 miles. I figure it will help the car cause the differential is NASTY. Pure black with metal particles.

I've heard that you can also dump it in a do-it-yourself carwash drainage. The drains are supposidely equipped to handle these types of chemicals. At least that's what I've been told.
