Power Jack - Phone Cord and Radio Noise
A couple of days ago I plugged my phone into the power jack for the first time. When I arrived at my destination, I took the phone with me, and let the end of the power cord drop behind the seat with it still plugged into the jack. I drove off and began to notice some time latter that my radio reception was poor on one station. Switched stations and noticed that station reception quickly became poor too. I was getting a lot of static that seemed to coincide to revs and bumps etc. This continued for two days and got worse the farther from the station source. I figured the radio was gone. It finally dawned on me that the plugged in phone cord hanging behind the seat was possibly the source of the radio static. Probably sitting/bouncing on something metal and shorting. The radio static stopped when I unplugged the cord. There's a moral here somewhere. Hope it helps.
