Exclamation HELP me identify this tranny version!

Whats up guys, some of you may know I blew 3rd gear's synchro at the track a few weeks ago. I have a friend that has found 2 used transmissions, I want to replace the tranny with the 009 version I hear so much about. I dont have VIN #'s or anything but here is what I do know.

* 350z trans- production date 3-05 only 349 miles on the car.*

*6 350z trans- production date 1-06 with less then 1000 miles on the car*

I'm leaning toward the 06' as obviously it shoul dhave the newer version. Can anybody help me? TIA.

do you need vin #'s alberto? I can get the vin #'s if you want thats no problem. I can decode the vin. I told the guys to check out each transmissions and get codes or any part #'s off the transmission. After they get all their delivery trucks out he should give me a call about it.

I would be interested in learning more about the differances between the 008s and 009s other than clutch and clutch line differances ????? Internals and distinguishing features exterior.
I have also seen indications that, contrary to common sense, the 008 is the LATER Trans and the 009, the earlier ????

I've heard from reliable sources 009 is the newer, makes no sense 008 would be. I know for a fact Sharif has the 009 version and he says its smooth as butter, way better than his 007 was. My 009 tranny was just dropped off, thanks Jon!

I relize it makes no sense---But I have 2 flywheel/clutch assys that came out of 03 and 04 that match up to the design of the of the 009 trans. They both have the raised face flywheel. I would like to know more of the differences. Its not the first time a manufacturer has numbered improvements out of numerical sync. ---- I take little for granted
