Default my Z is pulling to the right!! help please!

my car is lowered 1" and on 20"s, and has been pulling to the right since I got the car brand new. The dealer said the car is aligned perfectly and that they dont know why it is doing this. I couldnt believe that they said they didnt have an adjustment to fix this slight problem. I have no idea where to begin looking for a shop that can fix this in southern california. I would appreciate some info or help on this topic before I burn through my tires!

Thank you!

i would take your car to a dedicated wheel and tire shop and see what they say.

I have had my alignment checked a few times and every shop says that it is spot on, but the car still pulls to the right a bit. I get the, "They're all like this" speech. I have gotten used to it now, but if you find anything new, please pm me.

Honestly i think its just a trait of the car. Mine has been doing that since day one, but only really pulls if im driving between 25-50mph, on the highway its fine. I've had many alignments and even swapped to the Nismo suspension, and still pulls. I've heard the type of tire may be a factor, and im still running my stock tires, but that will change next spring.

most sports car pull a little under acceleration, especially on 20s. Plus, sometimes the bushings in the steering wheel aren't aligned properly in the z so that when the steering wheel is straight it will drift to the right a little. It may not be a wheel alignment problem but a steering alignment problem which is alot easier to deal with.

I had the same situation with my Ser-R Spec-V and went through a lot of crap to later find that it was the tires that were doing it. Probably not the case for you since you had that on stocks and on 20s.

I've heard that some cars were designed to pull slightly to the right (from the factory) to decrease the chance of a head-on collusion...this pull can sometimes be corrected by the service dept (they should know about the design of the car)....

There's a TSB for this but I don't think the dealer can fix it perfectly. Mine still pulls a bit.

wow this is all very interesting. this is what my car does:

on the freeway, going about 50+mph. if I let go of the wheel, the wheel slightly turns to the right. If I grab it and hold it straight, the car goes straight. is this an alignment issue or something else?

+1.....not many dealers can pull this off....I've read that shifting the subframe solved this problem for many 05 Subaru Legacys....might this be the issue with the Z's pulling (after a good alignment, rotating of tires, etc..)?

my non-Z pulls slightly to the right too...I hardly notice that it's doing that while I'm driving....I figured it's not eating up my tires and the alignment shop says it's set-up to OEM specs, so I just let it go...

my Z tracks like an arrow from day one.
my 05 armada pulls slightly to the right from day one. Took it to the dealer and they said it was supposed to pull to the right cuz of the pavement. i went home and rotated my right tire to the left. Guess what, it was due to a radial pull, problem solved. This happend to to me another time in another brand new car which i took it to goodyear to get one of the front tires replaced in order to fix the radial pull.

Could be a few things

1) Roads are designed with a 2% slope MIN. to the right (sometimes its more depending on the road) to allow for water to shed off the road. All cars will pull slightly to the right when you let go, its a little more exaggerated on sports cars since there tires track better then say a Honda Accord.

2) Your right tires air pressure could be lower then the left, which could cause the pull

3) Your alignment is out

4) You have a bad tire, rare but it does happen. I had a tire that was deformed a bit and it would cause my car to pull, didn't find out until I put new tires on and the pull went away.
