Please help me with P0037 ... o2 sensor?
Okay,
2003 350z track
Day before yesterday I was heading home from college and my SES/CEL light came on. Well I stopped off an exit and had the code pulled by AutoZone and it read P0037. Well I know this code is for 02 sensor on bank 1 sensor 2. Well, I continued to drive home...I got home and lifted the car. Checked all the wiring for the 02 sensors and all the fuses. Because that's what I read when I searched the forums to look for. Everything looked great. Well, I went to AutoZone and got a universal boush o2 sensor and wired it up. ( Black to Black, White to white, white to white, and gray to gray). I made sure I had good conection and soldiered and heat shrinked them. Before installing it I checked continuity with my fluke(multi-meter). Everything checked out perfect. I installed the new 02 sensor, drove the car about 15 miles and the light came back on. I did the test again and the same code is back again P0037. So, this morning I took strut bar, engine cover, battery cover, and brake cover off. And I checked every wire that I could find for damage. As I figured no issues. I took little spray bottle and put little water in it and sprayed alittle over vacum lines to see if i may have leak... As I figured again no leaks.
So, anyone out there want to throw me some ideas...
I do have test pipes and I have had them on for 2 years and never had SES/CEL light come on. So, I dont think I need simulator.
Also, one other thing. Few days ago I was installing flip out head unit brain under drivers seat and I was in my drive way. Well, it started to rain and I jumped in my car and pulled in the garage without the seat in the car. And of course the airbag light came on because the dang seat wasn't in there. And I knew this was going to happen right when I cranked my car. Any help with this will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jimmy

i have the same problem only i dont have test pipes, no one around here seems to be able to help
im putting it into the shop monday
airbag light has to be reset with the consult II
SES for the O2, I would try the non fouler trick and if that doesnt work, maybe they are bad. Or maybe a bad tank of gas. I got one on both my cars after coming from the East Coast 93 octane and filling up with west coast gas 91 octane FTL!

Okay today I put a new 02 sensor and it did the same thing. I recieved P0037 after about 10- 15 miles of driving.
What is the "non fouler" trick. I have read it in few threads but not really great explanation of how it works and what for (ses code).
Catch22, he let me know man what Nissan tells you. I sick and tired of trying to run this problem down.
PS
I got the air bag light issue resolved.

did you get the non-foulers? usually the 03 models don't need them.
got a pop charger?
i had the same issue with my wife's Mercedes SUV. Could not get the CEL to go off even after changing all four 02 sensors....100$each+labor(me). The CEL finally reset after replacing the 400$ MAF sensor. Good luck.
