Air bag light
i got an 06 350z with 45k miles and my air bag light went on. I wanted to see if anyone else ran into this problem? The dealer is already telling me it probably won't be covered under warranty since i have so many miles. just wanted to see other peoples experiences thanks in advance

Yep...mine came on and i took it to the dealership. They turned it off by resetting the code i think (they were being lazy). I left the dealership and the light was off. The next time i went out and started my car the light came back on and stayed on for 4 months until i got around to taking it back in. Anyway, they fixed it...it needed a new airbag module for the passenger side and was covered under warranty.

I have a G and same happened to me. Took it to the dealer 3 times before they finally changed to module. It should still be covered under warranty. Thought it was 4yr/60,000 mi warranty on z also. My z used to carry that warranty

you can reset it yourself...i dont remember the sequence but search airbag reset and you should find it. its kinda weird. turning the key to the on posion for a number of seconds a few times will reset it.

1) Put the key into the ignition and wait until the airbag light starts to flash ....
2) Turn the ignition off ... wait ten seconds (use a stopwatch) and repeat step 1. Do this four times. Light should turn off."

This worked. I turned the ignition off immediately when the airbag light went out. -I didn't wait for the light to flash. Waited 10 seconds and repeated 4 times.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I went to the dealership last month for this and they try to rip me off. I was like whatever and I use the search button on this forum and and fixed it myself. Thank you for the info my fellow Z members..
