after i raced my friends gsr integra i noticed that my car would not go into 5th and 6th anymore. everytime i would put it in the slot it would feel like its going in but it was really in neautral. i had to ride home in 4th gear on the freeway. wat happened to my gears did they blow out? my car is under warranty will they take care of this problem? wat should i do

 

take the back roads to the dealership and keep it below fourth. They should replace it for you in a week or so...alot of ppl here have had problems with the tranny. Did it go something like this?

if u blew out 5th, how could u blow out 6th? once u blow out 5th shouldnt you have stopped or pull over just in case, instead of putting it into 6th?

 

You're kidding right? You actually think the Z's ECU datalogs? You've got alot to learn.

To the OP, take your car to the dealer. My second transmission did that on the high way. The dealership replaced it in about 2 days.

you SHOULD not talk about it anymore on this site and take it up to nissan and get them to warranty it for you! the less people that know what really happened the better!

a little o/t, but could that attribute why some of us 6mts have notchy 1-2,
2-3 shifts? can we adjust this at home on jackstands? how is it done?
I have g35 sedan 6mt w/notchiness.......weird thing is it doesn't happen all the time......any info would be appreciated......thanks.
