Default Oil leaking "UPDATE"

I seem to have a small oil leak coming from between the transmission and the engine.. Anyone else have this problem and what could be causing the problem?

When I was getting my oil changed, they told me they saw a small tranny leak, but they said it was small, and just to monitor it. They said, it's a typical but annoying problem.

Not sure if that helped much...

Sounds like a bad rear main.

Well, took the car to the dealership today. They were nice enough to check it out for free.. It is the rear main. The shop that put in my clutch apparantly messed up the seal and also forgot to replace the boot on the side of the tranny and tore up the lower shift boot. Fortunately they are going to cover this at no charge to me.. Makes for a good day

Well, that turned out great for you! Be glad too, because there is a LOT of work in replacing that seal.

Kinda wierd that the shop that installed your clutch messed it up. Not something that would normally get messed up on a clutch install.

Just as a heads up, if you have been noticing any clutch chatter or slippage, insist that they replace the clutch as well, because that means that the clutch got oil on it.

Default Update!!!

Ok, the leak does not seem to be oil at all. It smells like axel grease and has a thinner texture than oil.. What else could it be.. The "OIL LEAK" problem is going to be fixed friday..

Help?!?!
