My car has been parked for a few days (4) and this morning I started it up to drive to work. Let the engine warm up a bit and as soon as I pulled out of my driveway, I could feel that the wheel was very heavy. It felt as if I did not have power steering and it felt that way the whole commute to work.
I call the dealership and take the car in during lunch time. When I get in the car again, steering is much lighter and it feels normal. Seems like there might be a problem with the power steering fluid. The mechanic noticed the fluid level was a bit lower and that it looked thinner than usual. I do track the car and have not done anything to my power steering fluid.
Has anyone ever had this happen?
How easy is it to flush your own power steering fluid?
I did not notice any boiling at the track.
