Can you post a copy here for us...PLEEEEASE

I already got confirmation from the head honcho (Part owner/Service & Parts Mgr) that the TSB is valid and my parts are on order.

Sorry, don't have a scanner.
But it is only for vehicles with VINS before JN1AZ34D(*)3T114962 and JN1AZ34D(*)3T017459 and build date before March 18, 2003.

It require the removal of the entire glass and replace the one piece window stabilizer with a 2 piece design.

It should be covered under the warranty as it's a defect. If you have any problems, ask to speak with the Service Manager.

No problem! I'm happy to give a little back to this site.

jonghj - this is most certainly covered by warranty, assuming your build date was before March 18th, which I am sure it is.

If possible, could someone scan the TSB here for everyone to reference???

so if I call my service advisor, and have him check "live update", the tsb should be on it right?

this fix will require ordering new parts? so maybe we should call in first and have them order before take the car in?

thanks!

This is good news and very important. When I take my car in for the first service I will see if I can have this done as well.

Maybe mods should make this thread one of the Note: thingies that stays on top...I am lazy and don't wanna have to search when the time comes

Yep, just call ahead witht the TSB number and have the service mgr check the live updates. It will require new parts that must be ordered, so I don't see any reason to take the car in until the parts arrive.

You'll like this one. I had my car in for service last week and told them about the streaks. They took the doors apart and cleaned the rollers. I call them today to remind them I'm bringing the car back in Sunday so they can take it to an alignment specialist and tell the service guy about the new TSB for the windows. I asked him to look it up and order whatever is necessary. He tells me, get this, that they don't follow the TSB right away. They have to try to fix it on their own before following the TSB. Right.... So basically I gotta wait for it to come back for them to look up the TSB. Idiots...I'm dealing with idiots.

Repair guideline time has been estimated at 2.2 hours but was told realistically 5 hours (especially for first time attempts by the technicians). The window has to be completely removed to get to the "stabilizer" unit which is where the new felt pads and components need to be replaced.

Who'd you talk to (if you remember). I just called them to have them fax me a copy and they said they did not release them to consumers...only to dealers.

Just talked to my salesman and he relayed the msg to the service advisor to order the parts.. Guess they will call me when it's in.

So the window will have to be removed? this is good since my driver side window doesn't come down an inch anymore when opening the door... seems like something is stuck in there. Maybe it's the dynamat I installed...

I don't think it's the dyinaMat, my driver's door also is going up and down automatically less and less then when new.

I called my dealership and they ordered the parts they said that their right at their warehouse and should be there by Tuesday. Maybe when they fix the grease problem the window will go back to full automatic movement.

Default . . .

Just got off the phone with my dealer. Tells me that they have to sit and wait for it to "come down the pipes." They deny any ability to do a Live Update.

Love Hawaii...idiots.

I contacted by dealer and they had no problem ordering the part. They said they will contact me when it comes in.

They said it was listed in the April 1 CDROM.
