Default New Member quick ? "2200rpm Miss?"

I just picked up a 03' 350z. I'm loving it. It is a black w/ black leather touring edition. The car drives and runs perfectly except I have a slight miss/stumble. When i'm driving I can only feel it in first gear but when I rev it slowly it will climb evenly untill right around 2200rpms then stumble for a few seconds and then climb on. I just replaced the spark plugs and did the tranny, diff, and engine oil. Other than that its stock. And help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Any chance you bought this car and it was previously modded?

I haven't seen any of the tell tale signs. Everything looks to be perfect and oem.

maybe it's just the variable intake cam or something.

if you were misfiring, you'd get a check engine light

Does it do this when the car is in neutral or only when you are driving?

It does both in neutral and while driving. But it is more noticeable in neutral and it only does it in first accelerating slowly so light load.

I have seen many cars have a small to moderate miss and not have the check engine trigger. I've been a mechanic for 7yrs. I just finished putting on my motordyne intake spacer and i'm going to go hook up my solus engine scanner and see if I can figure anything out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd just put the car up on a dyno with air/fuel. you'll definitely see something if it's missing
