my z just hit 1500 miles..
and when i came home from work my z gone wrong..
suddenly rpms drop down too quick when i switching gears..
felt like an automatic..(i got manual)..
is it something with engine break-in?
now i feel like my car has rev hang or something..
need some info plz

That does not sound like somthing minor, I would take it in to a shop ASAP

 

Maybe you need to learn how to drive a manual . . . or better yet, maybe you should have bought an A/T!

 

man how did my350z get so mean within the last few months? when i joined you guys were all pretty damn nice, helpful, and welcoming to new members and members with oddball questions. now it's all just snide remarks and assvice. no wonder people don't like this forum.

I think his traction control is kicking in. cold tires, worn tires, wet road. something along those lines. does the yellow "slip" light come on during the rpm drop? ..it's at the bottom of your tackometer.

 

Why ask the forum. its a brand new car. take it to the dealer and have them look at it. then if you would like come back to the forum and make a thread about it with the info the dealer gave you. it would help alot more then us troubleshooting your car over the internet.

 

need a better description... when driving a manual though, you might notice the rpms will drop faster when u have the AC on, which is due to the AC compressor resistance(like i said, when the AC is turned on). Its a small but noticable diff. give us more details, like the rpms instantaniously drop to 1000 and hold, it happens during a certain condition, etc.

 

it was 11 at night, not many dealers open. He just got past the break in period and likely is getting slip...hopefully he finds that to be true.

 

lets hope. i was just saying that when he gets the chance to take it in. i know dealers arent open at that time but i didnt pay attention to what time he posted. none the less lets hope its something small or hes just over exagerating.
