Default My Z is sick and I need help!!!

Guys I heard the most awful noise today!!! my car has been running fine and today while I was stopped with my foot off the clutch the car started to shake and bog out and wanted to stall out on its own. At first I thought to myself hey maybe its not a big thing. When I got home I left her alone with me outside the car and with in maybe 45 second she would start doing it again she would shake and want to stall out and the rev needle is at half way from 0 and 1 fighting to stay at 1!!!!!!

what could this be? the car sounds fine when driving but when it stands still for about 45 seconds it wants to stall! I hope this doesnt mean blown engine or running one less than 6 cylinders!!! has anyone had this happen to them? my car is a 03 with about 78k does anyone have any idea what it could be?

im really worried since im broke right now

I am no expert and I know how much something like this sucks...

I had a car doing something similar and it turned out to be the O2 sensor was dirty...

Hope that helps, I am sure one of the big dogs will diagnose this shortly!

Check the codes. Likely, it is something simple.

sounds like your car is in safe mode. My car did the exact same thing a few days ago and is in the dealer right now for a checkup. When in safe mode, it wont let me go any faster than 35 mph and it keeps stalling if i'm parked...feels like it has 10 horsepower the damn thing. Take it to a dealer and let them check it out, most likely will be covered under warrantee.....

stalling at idle? possible gas problem, either injectors or fuel pump. just take it to a mechanic theyll probably look at those first. sounds like the engine is struggling to get fuel to it when you arent giving it yourself with your foot on the gas

its really hard to tell what is wrong. If it drives ok, but the idle is just wacked out I think you would be ok driving to work and take it in first thing on Monday.

I wouldnt do any extra driving though.

Check the air filter and the MAF sensor and anything else that could be loose.

Definately check your air filter. I don't think your Z is in safe mode.
If you have aftermarket CAI or popcharger, there might be an air leak.

definitly sound like fuel line or intake problem.

check if you didn't suck some particules in the fuel line or if the gaz filter is not cloacked, injectors can be stuck too.
or you can have a air leak somewhere in the intake.

stupid question, but was you using the ac when that happened?
