Default Wheel Bearing

For the past week my drivers side front tire has been making this crazy grinding/screeching sound, kind of like the one your brake pads make when their going out. I put new pads on last month, so there's nothing wrong with those.

It does it really bad when i'm making a sharp turn, like pulling out of a parking spot or something, and you can't really hear it past 35MPH.

Anyways, i've talked to a few people and they said it could be my wheel bearing. They said it could've gotten wet and rusted, or just straight up died on me.

Now, down to the point. Does anyone know where I could purchase a wheel bearing for that tire if it's the problem, and also would anyone like me to try and record it with my phone? It could be something else, I dunno. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When my wheel bearing went bad, it was louder as I picked up speed. At 70, I could barely hear a passenger talking. It sounded more like a roaring noise though.

Check your brakes. If something is loose, it can make sounds like that.

When you put weight on the wheel that's making the noise it should get worse if the wheel bearings going out. The post that Dave referenced is interesting... That usually doesn't happen. I would check the brakes to see if you may have a rock or something inbetween the pad and rotor before deciding that it's the bearing.
