Why isn't Nissan repairing transmissions instead of replacing them?

Also, what is the cost of a new transmission?

The labor is too costly for the dealer to fix these things especially since the problems seem to vary. They just send them back to the factory, fix them then stick 'em in another car.

Figure a couple of $$grand
