Default Do I need to take the pass. fender off to replace my windshield wiper fluid line?

Hey guys anybody here knows where and how the rubber line for the windshield wiper runs? Mine for some reason snapped off near the battery (Water runs out to the side of the car instead of to the wipers) and it appears I need to change out a new line. Unfortunately I can't tell if it runs under the car or through the fender to the reservior. Anybody know if if I need to take the fender off, can get to it from under the car, or through the plastic fender cover on top of the wheel?

It's hard to tell from the FSM...

1. Remove clip and pull out washer tank inlet.
2. Remove under cover.
3. Remove fender protector. Refer to EI-21, "FENDER PROTECTOR"
in “EI” section.
4. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to EI-14, "FRONT
BUMPER" in “EI” section.
5. Disconnect washer pump connector.
6. Remove washer tank mounting bolt and nuts.
7. Remove washer tube, and remove washer tank from the vehicle.

Thanks for posting this. The pics from the service manual doesn't help either but looks like from your instructions I need to take the front bumper off and the black plastic cover in the wheel well. I don't have a problem with at except that everything looks to be hidden under the fender. I've never taken the fenders off so I don't know what it looks like underneath or how difficult it is to do.

did you take off all the plastic peices around the battery?

i swear you can see the line and where it goes from there. i might be mistaken though. and of course if you take the front bumper off, theres access.

I took off the plastic piece around the battery and followed the line. You know how our batteries sit in a little square like area made up of the bulkhead? Well the tube broke off as it enters the top near the firewall and I can't find the other side. I am assuming the other side broke off and fell down the hole under the fender. The motor is still pulling the fluid but it just exits out the side on the the ground near where the fender meets the door at the front splash guard

Okay I'll give that a shot this weekend. Probably have to take the wheel and lip off again.

Thanks sleeper I know what you are talking about, but my problem is I don't have the other side visible at the moment.

Yeah I'll try that first. I was just thinking if I could cheat or if it's easier to take the fender off instead...lol.. If I'm successful I might even write a quick DIY.

Taking the fender off is not too bad. You're already half way there if you take off the bumper cover and the fender liner. The only other piece you need to take off is the side sill as there are two bolts covered by it.
