Default Does anybody have IDLING problems with their car???

Just recently my battery died out... I replaced the battery soon afterwards... Ever since I replaced my battery, I noticed that everytime I start my engine... my car sounds like it drops down....then picks back up... sounds like idling problems...but since I'm not an expert...I hate to assume things... Does anybody have this same problem??? I drive an '03 Nissan 350z... Is their a fault on this vehicle model year??? Please help...any advice would help as far as how to correct this problem...or if this problem is actually a serious problem or not... What part would be necessary for me to repair this problem??? Thank you guys and girls!!!

Is it still under warranty? Maybe try an ECU reset. You can find instructions on how on the Motordyne website.

Also there is a hose that goes to the plenum. Make sure its snuggly fit and isn't leaking. Could have been knocked loose. or something. It is right next to the battery compartment on one side and then connects to the plenum.

Default could having a dirty engine have any effect on the idling??

could having a dirty engine...have anything to do with the idling effect??? As in...somebody told me shifting too early ALL the time (approximately at 2.5ish) could cause that...

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Have you seen the idle improve as the car warms up. the car will idle a little higher when its cold. Just checking.

Sometimes if the battery is disconnected/dead for a certain period of time the ECM will lose its idle program. The car may stall on startup or the idle might fluctuate because the ECM does not know where the idle should be set. Take it to a dealer and have them relearn the idle. Should take care of your problem. Hope that helps.

Mine did same, carbon deposits in throttle body slowly put idle out, but ECM learnt about it, as soon as i disconnected and reconnected, idle was low and wouldnt start without throttle when warm. cleaned out TB and butterfly valve with carb cleaner with batt disconnected. good as new

funny thing, i disconnected the battery on my G35 to work on the stereo and after i connected everything back together, the idle started acting up couple times. Shouldn't the ECM adapt and learn? Disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it is practically a resetting of the ECM.
