Your motor is on its way out. Replace it yourself, go to autozone, buy the motor $150 and have a lifetime warranty.

you will need a new motor and handler. I had one replaced under warranty for the same exact things. Window gets stuck, hit the button a few minutes/hours later and it rolls up like nothing is wrong. I think the ticket at the dealer was $260 for everything. It is a known issue with Z's especially on the driver side, nissan will replace under warranty, or like mentioned above would save you a bundle to do it yourself.

I have the same problem. Are you saying that you got your 04 Z fixed at the dealership under the warranty? Shouldn't your warranty expired long time ago?
