A Code I Cannot Find
My car now will not accelerate properly. Once it gets to about 2500 it "bogs out" Even if and when it shifts (Auto) can't hit higher RPMs. This is all to planned I think. I am about to move so I am saving as much as I can then this happens at a little less then 40,000 miles. The code auto-zone gave me was P1281. Can anyone help me out here. I really can't go to the dealership. Hell they wanted 90 dollars for a diagnostics!
Ok, like I said before I am moving. I am driving from FL to KY and back then to GA. Is there a quicker way to reset the ECU just in case, because I don't have the ECU checker? All the lights on dash did not light up, just check engine until the ECU was reset.
Well if all the lights on the dash aren't on you aren't in limp mode which means you should be able to go over 2500 rpm's. You can buy one of the OBD2 code checkers @ autozone. Make sure you get one that will let you reset the ecu.

Do these cars have a limp mode, sounds like that could be the case aswell.
