Default mrev2 & spacer install....

Not sure if this is in the right forum, but me and my cousin started working on the install for my mrev2 and spacer around 2a.m. and we just about finished but when I try to replug in my battery, my alarm goes off. Pressing my panic button or trying to lock/unlock my doors do nothing. Everything seems to be plugged in and bolted and all that good stuff. Did anyone else happen to have this problem or know what is the cause? Thanks.

It's normal. I've had it happen to me when reconnecting the battery. I thought it was because I had the door open at the time.

Besides the alarm going off (witch is normal, sudden burst of power will make the alarm go off). How does the car feel when you drive. I'm interested in getting the spacer myself.

It was so late last night when we finished it and the alarm was so loud, I just reconnected the battery lol. But it seems I might have a leak or something so I have to go recheck it.

So I finished installing the mrev2 and spacer, but I have arrived at another problem. I can't seem to bolt down the 6 bolts for the strut bar. I could not get any of them to screw down when i had the strut bar over the strut spacers and I tried just testing the bolts, and tried screwing them in without the strut bar there. Two of the passenger side's bolts will bolt down but i cannot get any of the others to screw in. It's pretty hard to even try and bolt the stock ones in too. Anyone else happen to have a problem with this? Meh.. Thanks.

What do you mean you cant bolt them down ?? you meant the bolts are hard to turn or you could bolt them all the way down .
Did you use the strut bar spacers that come with you plenum spacer kit ??
If it's cuz of the strut bar's too short or too long ,try adjust the strut bar length (stock strut i assume) and align it to the length matching to those holes thread the bolts in but not tighten them . Once you get them all in and not hard to turn the start to tighten lol~~ dont forget you strut is still loosen (i meant those 3 bolts adjusting the length ) turn the centre one to make it shorten and have some distance to the upper plenum .( remember your strut bar should be tighten to the car already be4 this) The you can start to tighten the 2 bolts on strut bar left and right ...then u all set...
im not sure if its right about what i just say but if im wrong somebody please jump up on this ....

Yea sounds right. Loosen the nuts on the left side of the strut bar. Then use the middle nut to adjust length. You don't want it to be too close to the plenum or it will rub. Also, use the washers that came with the kit. I used all 6 washers for my set up.

Did you remember to release the tension from the strut bar before removing the 6 bolts/nuts that hold it down? If not, the bar is "sprung" so the holes no longer line up.

Make the strutbar shorter by tightening the nut built into the expansion section about 1½ turns. Then you should be able to get it mounted to the car and tighten the 6 mounting bolts/nuts. Once that is done, turn the nut on the expansion section 1½ turns the other direction to increase the tension in the strut bar.
