Question No start issue??

Weird thing just started with my Z. I put the key in the ignition and turn it to start, nothing happens. The dash lights come on, radio work, headlights work, wipers, etc... does NOT make a clicking noise or any other noise..just nothing. If I keep trying it a few times, eventually it starts. Seems like a sensor to me. Any suggestions???

what year is your car and miles?

1. clean your battery (connectors)

2. '03-'04 Z's have a tendency of not starting due misreading of the small chip in your key. Only occurs for me when, the "stock" alarm light stays on when I insert the key. (i wrote a long page about this before... "search")

simple fix: just re-alarm and un-alarm your car if u have a stock keyless remote entry or if that red light does stay ON, resert key till it turns off.

you can search this problem in the forums, goodluck.

Is it a manual transmission? Sounds like the little switch underneath the clutch pedal is going bad.

^^Yup, most likely^^sticky switch.

happened to me a couple of times earlier this years. i sprayed a few drops of W-40 at that pressure switch under the clutch pedal near the fire wall. BINGO...problem fixed.
