Removing Z oil filter is a PITA!!!
Everytime I change the oil, it is such a pain to take off the oil filter. I have my V1 lip bolted on to the bumper so I can't take off the under tray. Trying to unscrew the filter thru that little opening is almost impossible. I have the craftsman adjustable oil filter remover thing and it sucks *** big time. Any techniques you guys use to remove it? Please share.
it's so easy. what are you talking about? Get the K+N oil filters. They will benifet you. It has a socket screw at the bottom of the filter so you can just stick a socket and wrench in there from the bottom. Very easy. I usually just twist off with my hand though. It shouldn't be on there tight.

I have an oil filter wrench that essentially works like pliers. It grips around the filter and when you squeeze it a bit hard, actually dents into the filter so it cant slip. Works perfectly and has made oil changes alot easier on many of my vehicles.
+_1 on K&N
Even if it was NO better than stock, I would still get them just to ease installation.

I just changed the oil on my Z this past weekend, and I don't know what you guys are talking about, but that was the easiest thing I've ever done in my life. All I did was put the Z on ramps...take off the under panel, use the oil filter key that I purchased at advanceautoparts for $3.00, and so on...took me about 45 minutes since that was the first time I did it myself & I had a bit of a problem getting the old copper crush washer off the drain plug. But I do realize you have your lip bolted onto the bumper so that might make it a bit tricky...good luck in the future : )
FYI: I got a damn good deal on the OEM oil filters through one of our sponsors..box of 20 filters and 20 crush washers!
