Default 05 won't fire

hey guys, can anyone please help me get an idea of what the problem can be.

Occasionally, the car won't start. It turns over but will not fire. Checked the battery and the voltage is good. i have to pump the gas a few times and it will eventually start, but its getting worse.

It sounds like something with the fuel system (fuel pump, fuel filter) but how can i test these parts to see what is causing the problem? thanx for the input.

its an 05 base model, 6 speed manual.

Is it under warranty? Also, with the electronic throttle, does "pumping the gas" even do anything? Just wondering.

sounds like bad fuel to me. Use name brand premium fuel only. Don't buy gas from mom and pop corner gas stations(they might have water in their tanks).
