Heat From Exhaust Pipes
Hi,
I owned a '03 350z. I have owned many other cars in the past and this is the first time I have a car that allows the heat from the exhaust pipes to radiate into the cabin. I find it very warm near the transmission after 20 to 25 minutes of driving. Is this a common problem and how do I solve it?

It's common. Don't worry about it. If you really want to you can invest in some thermal wrap or something but this is something that most everyone has just learned to deal with.
Hope you aren't huge on flip-flops.

Dear All,
Thank you for your helpful advice. I will get my exhaust thermal wrapped. Hopefully this solves my problem

James
It may not make a noticable difference since some people on here are saying it's mostly the transmission. Some kind of thermal barrier between the components and the bottom of the passenger cabin might help also.

not to sound ignorant, but as a general rule of thumb, wrap or protect the things you want to keep cool.
in this case, apply some kind of heat shield to the trans tunnel, not the tranny.
should be obvious, but ive seen many stupid things lol.
