Default Helllllllllpppppp!!!!!!

I flushed my coolant today and now the car overheats only when it is beign driven. When the car is sitting in the driveway it is fine even when you rev teh engine. As soon as you begin driving the car the engine it overheats. It also only blows cold air even when the heat is on blast. Does anyone know how to fix this??

I think you have air pockets in the cooling system. This happened to me when I swapped OEM for Samco hoses and new coolant. The system needs to be "burped". I suggest you remove the radiator cap, let the car idle and bubble up the air, standing by all the way w/ a coolant bottle to fill as the coolant level goes down and the air comes out. After all the burps are out, make sure the coolant level in the overflow bottle is appropriate. Check it every couple of days for awhile. I think you'll be OK.

I had the same thing happen the first time I changed coolant. My car sounded like it was going to explode. The "burping" should take care of it. The air in the system keeps the thermostat from opening, which keeps the heater from heating.

It can take a while- minutes, not seconds. Remove the radiator cap, remove the cap from the overfow bottle, standby w/ a bottle of coolant, fill it as the levels diminish. Be patient.

I believe to the rear of the motor they have a bleed valve to make the process faster. Dont exactly remember but you should see a coolant hose hooked up to it. Hope this helps

I opened all the valves and let it run for a half hour with the right side of the car jacked.. still overheating.. and still no heat coming from the heater.
