battery life?
i have a 2005...i didnt drive my z for about 3 weeks and the battery died. is it normal for the battery to drain this quikly? should i get it replaced at the dealer? if it makes any difference, the car was in my garage so i did not arm the alarm
I stored my 2005 last year for the winter here, and the battery died in about 4 months of non use. This year I will start it up and run it for about 15 minutes about every 4 weeks or so. Coincidence???
Typically, a battery should last about 3 years. Apparently, the Z has a pretty heafty electric load as it's not uncommon for people here to report a dead battery after leaving it sit for a couple weeks. You would probably be better off either disconnecting it or get a trickle-charger that keeps it fully charged when stored.

My battery just died.....got a red top......with damn reverse terminals.
After reading some of the posts on here, I'm getting a little nervous about the Optimas. Seems like a lot of people have problems with them. Any other recommendations? The Z is my daily driver.
I don't really want the Braille as I dont really care about weight. I just want a LONG lasting reliable battery that does well in the head (115+ degrees in the summer)
