350Z Leaking ! ! !

Ok I plugged up the hole that was drilled in my firewall and over the break I left my car open in my parents garage with fans inside blowing on the carpet for a couple days so that it would completely dry out.
....but it's wet again. I pulled up the floor matt and could see condensation on the bottom shaped like a teardrop with the point towards the center of the dash. So it looks like the water is dripping down the right corner of the areas where the drivers feet are. The hole I plugged was on the left side around where the master cylinder for the breaks goes through the firewall.
Here's an image. The red arrow marks approximately where I think the water is coming from.
I tried taking it to a car wash and sprayed water on the windshield for about 4 minutes. After which I couldn't feel any noticable wetness. Though the carpet is suspended somewhat above the floor pan by the insulation and padding, so there very well could have been a puddle under the carpet with the carpet completely dry.
A number of you have mentioned "drains" that I'm suppose to look in the service manual for. I have a PDF of the full factory service manual, and I searched it for "drains" and "plug" but found nothing related to my problem. Can someone give me a page number? Or give me a better idea of where I should be looking for these drains on my car (a picture would be great).
Could this have something to do with the heater core instead? I'm not really familiar with how heaters works in cars. Is coolant pumped through firewall into the heater core? I don't remember the liquid feeling greasy or having any kind of odor. What about condensation? Does the heater have some kind of drain that could be leaking or plugged?

Mine is doing the same thing, I'm just lucky that the rain here is mild. Somebody pointed the leak out to me, if you take off the plastic trim that's at the base of the windshield then look down along the firewall look for a rubber boot/gromet that penetrates the firewall. Mine came completely off and is only hanging by the cables that it's there for. It has been this way ever since my engine swap but I just don't want to take it back to the same shop.
If your hands are small enough you should be able to put a thin coat of RTV to lube it and push it back in.
If you can't see it put a bright shop light under the dash and then look at the firewall again, that should point it out.

I live in seattle. Using a shop vac on my car every time it rains realy isn't a practical options. Then again I live in an apartment so owning a shop vac really isn't that practical either.

Figured it out
Well it looks like I found the problem. Bellow the original hole I sealed there was another hole created by the person who installed the aftermarket alarm in my car. Rather then using a sealing rubber grommet they just used a plastic grommet to protect the cable from the sharp edges of the hole.
.. . .and here's what happens when I pour water on the windsheild
I pulled the plastic grommet out and put silicon sealant around the hole. Then I pushed the plastic grommet back in and sealed the space around the cable with more silicon. Now I'm waiting for that the cure so I can try pouring water on it again.
Of course the irony of all this is I live in Seattle and now that I've finaly fixed this I'm about 3 weeks from moving to LA.
I remember hearing about some kind of package you can get the dry out an area. I think they are full of silica-gel granules. Anyone know anything about this?

my 05 has this issue on the drivers side after
rainy days. I didn't notice it till I took out my
car audio and change back to oem since I'm
getting rid of it for a 07/08z soon.
