As the topic state, how many got a new tranny?? I will be getting my new tranny in about 3-4 weeks. The service guy said the transmission will be shipped from Japan. For those with the new tranny, any difference(s)? any more grinding at 3 when cold?

 

I'm getting mine in a couple weeks. Mine was grinding in 2nd during extreme driving.

 

I have not heard of the tranny having been redesigned. Short of that, the issue will return. I am on my third and some others are having problems with their third ones. The tranny feels ok, like the others did, before they failed.

What about all the 5AT guys? Mine just went into service tonight after only 5200 miles and I believe that I got a crappy trans from the factory. Anyone else with a failed auto trans out there? Please post if you do or did, and the outcome the second time around.

By the way, if you look in your booklet binder thing you got with the car, there is a lemon law guideline. Its very informative as to your rights under law against a continually faulty vehicle... (3 bad trans in a row? That cant possibly be good for Nissan if you decide to prosecute. And very likely they would have to buy your car back and take your business elsewhere)
