i would of said drunk. . . buff it. then get a nice gray primer to fill in the scratch. .you can tape it off so as not to primer the good spots. ..get a identical mini spray can.(autozone) .and glide over it back n forth each time letting it dry. .when it looks somewhat good. .get a very fine grain of sand paper. .wet sand it. .to a smooth service and buff the hell outta it agian. .clear coat it and it should blend in nice. .i've done it b4 to a gold color altima for a friend. .and it looked pretty good. .

Doing what you said will just give the bodyshop a harder time later when they are trying to remove it and it will cost more in labor! Also will look like ***.

^Yeah, I tried to ask my local shop to if they could repair these 2 spots without having to repaint the entire panel. First they thought they could, but then they realized by my colour (DB) is just too hard to match. Pretty much came to same conclusion: Rather have a couple scratches/marks/whatever and wait to have it repainted than to get a half assed- badly matching patch job done that would probably look worse than it did before. Good luck whatever you do.

it really depends on how deep the scratches are, and they dont look that deep
to be honest, that looks like a job for a good detailer. i would love to help you.
ive seen worse, turn out amazing...
there might be no need for touchup, matching paints, etc...
i'd try some scratch and swirl removers before anything
try http://www.poorboysworld.com/super-swirl-removers.htm
youd be surprised what you can do

you dont have to be a pro, you just have to know what your doing
im sure you dont want to fork out the dough for a PC, im sure you can find someone around you that has an orbital buffer.
