'03?
Not unless you bought an extended warranty. Otherwise in January '06 its out of warrant, assuming it wasn't before that due to miles.
I have an '03 Z, under warranty until 92,000.

Yeah I bought the extra warranty...The car has 50K on the dot...I thought maybe there was something wrong with the 03 engine like there is with the tranny...I know the engine is screwed because it wont rev past 2K RPMS if I push the throttle more than lightly and it will stall if I rev it with a heavy throtle...Could a new set of plugs be the cause of this...?
did you restart the car? it probably idled to low if it' s misfiring and shut off. . .or the car shut down so it doesn't do damage to the engine. .but start the car and see if it's misfiring. .how many miles do you have?
if you don't see smoke and oil pressure, temperatures are stable then your engine is fine. Sounds like some sort of air leak to me. Pull your air filter out, check tubing for blockage. Then remove negative battery terminal, pump brake, reconnect terminal and your ECU is reset. I had a cheapo Autozone air filter for a hold me over in which the universal boot ripped off the filter and up the intake tube. Through my car into limp mode which is similar to what you are describing. Wont go over 2500 RPMs misfires like a ***** and dies everytime you push in the clutch.
Or did you get it to the dealer arleady?
